Frequently asked questions.
-
Envision Yoga is a unique wellness practice that combines yoga, breathwork, positive mantras, and bilateral stimulation to rewire limiting beliefs and support deep personal transformation. Rooted in the science of neuroplasticity, it helps individuals release stress, embody empowering intentions, and cultivate emotional resilience.
-
Envision Yoga is generally safe and designed to be supportive, not triggering. That said, people who have had intense or destabilizing reactions to EMDR therapy or other trauma processing modalities involving bilateral stimulation may want to approach the practice with caution.
This might include:
Individuals with complex PTSD
Those with a history of dissociation or derealization
People currently experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms
If you're unsure, it’s always a good idea to consult with your therapist or doctor before attending. You can also Google "when to avoid EMDR" to get a sense of who might want to proceed mindfully with Envision Yoga.

Both Envision Yoga and EMDR Therapy use bilateral stimulation to support the brain's natural processing mechanisms. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) uses this technique to help people reprocess traumatic memories and desensitize emotional distress. Envision Yoga applies auditory bilateral stimulation—alternating sound patterns—to create a similar rhythm that supports emotional integration and cognitive shifts.
In both practices, intention and focused attention are key. EMDR uses negative cognitions as entry points for healing; Envision Yoga begins with positive intentions, allowing any resistance, memory, or belief that arises to be naturally processed during the practice.
-
EMDR is a clinical, one-on-one therapy typically guided by a licensed mental health professional and focused on trauma resolution.
Envision Yoga is a group or private wellness experience guided by a trained yoga practitioner and rooted in somatic, nervous system-based practices rather than clinical treatment.
EMDR often focuses on past pain and trauma, while Envision Yoga uses positive intentions to help you move toward your desired future, integrating what arises along the way.
Think of EMDR as healing the past; Envision Yoga as building the future.
-
No, Envision Yoga is not a form of therapy, nor is it a replacement for professional mental health treatment. It is a wellness and embodiment practice designed to support personal growth, nervous system regulation, and emotional well-being. While it shares tools used in therapeutic modalities (like bilateral stimulation), it is not facilitated by a licensed clinician and does not aim to diagnose, treat, or resolve psychological disorders.
-
Envision Yoga is for anyone seeking change, growth, and grounded empowerment. It’s accessible to all levels—whether you're new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner—and is especially impactful for people working through life transitions, burnout, emotional blocks, or personal development journeys.
We also offer custom sessions for:
Corporate teams
Wellness retreats
Yoga studios and healing spaces
Private groups or events

Envision Yoga activates your subconscious mind through bilateral stimulation and intentional mantra work. This combination can stir unresolved emotions, memories, or beliefs stored below conscious awareness.
Dreams are one of the ways the mind processes and integrates this material. You might experience vivid, symbolic, or even emotionally charged dreams in the days following a session—this is a sign your system is working with and releasing deeper patterns.
It’s a beautiful opportunity to observe what your inner world is trying to show you, and continued practice often brings clarity and resolution.
-
In the days following a session, many people feel:
Clear, calm, and energized
Emotionally lighter or more grounded
More aligned with their intentions
Heightened awareness or insight into patterns
However, it’s also completely normal to experience emotional sensitivity or temporary emotional upset—especially if something significant shifted during the session. Envision Yoga works on a deep level, and like any process that supports healing and transformation, it can stir things up before they settle.
You might notice:
Mood swings or irritability
Fatigue or vivid dreams
Memories, doubts, or emotional waves surfacing
These are signs your nervous system and subconscious are processing. The key is to allow space, rest, and care as your system integrates. Journaling, hydration, and light movement can help support you during this time.
Over time, consistent Envision Yoga practice can lead to:
Lasting mindset and behavior shifts
Increased emotional resilience
A greater sense of embodiment, self-trust, and inner clarity

No! Envision Yoga is accessible to all levels. Movements are simple and intuitive, and the focus is on internal experience more than physical performance.
-
Bilateral stimulation involves rhythmic left-right input, often used in therapies like EMDR to support the brain's integration processes. In Envision Yoga, we use auditory bilateral stimulation via alternating tones through speakers placed on either side of the mat. These tones follow a carefully crafted tempo arc that builds and then settles, supporting the nervous system’s natural rhythm.
Participants often experience clarity, release, insight, and grounded emotional shifts during this auditory experience.
-
Just wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat if you have one. We also recommend bringing water and an open mind! Everything else is provided—including the sound system and guidance.
-
Yes! You can experience Envision Yoga from home—you’ll just need two stereo speakers set up on either side of your yoga mat to recreate the bilateral stimulation effect.
When you sign up for a virtual session, we’ll send you our proprietary bilateral stimulation audio files and guidance for how to set up your space so we can fully practice together, no matter where you are.
-
We offer two formats:
75-minute class: Includes a 60-minute movement and mantra experience followed by up to 15 minutes of guided sharing or discussion.

During a session, you may feel a powerful sense of presence and emotional clarity. Many people experience:
Deep physical relaxation
Emotional release or lightness
Increased self-awareness
Insights about limiting beliefs or patterns
A feeling of inner connection or purpose
Because the practice works with your nervous system and subconscious mind, it’s not uncommon for unexpected emotions, memories, or physical sensations to arise. Whatever surfaces is part of the process—and you're always supported in moving through it gently and safely.
