Private Envision Yoga Sessions in Los Angeles

A private Envision Yoga session in Los Angeles is a one-on-one hour built entirely around what you want to change, using bilateral audio, yoga, visualization, and affirmations to settle your nervous system and rehearse the version of you who already feels calm and sure. It is $200 for 60 minutes, packages available, in person at my apartment in LA or over Zoom with stereo headphones. It is not therapy and not a workout. It is mental fitness, one person at a time.

I am Leah Davis, E-RYT 500. I have taught yoga since 2011, with a screenwriting and software background before that. I built Envision Yoga because I kept watching people understand exactly what was holding them back and stay stuck anyway. Insight is not the same as change. A private session is where you actually practice the change.

What happens in a private Envision Yoga session?

A private session starts with one question: what are you ready to build? Maybe it is quieting the loop that runs at 2am. Maybe it is walking into a room and trusting yourself. We name it, then the whole hour is designed around it.

Then I layer in the four pieces that make this work. Yoga to bring you into your body. Bilateral audio, alternating left and right sound, which settles the part of your brain that scans for danger into a calm, REM-like state. In that state I guide a detailed visualization and a few plain affirmations, so you spend the hour rehearsing what you want to be true instead of rehearsing the stress. A single session is called an Envisioning, and the science and lineage behind it live on that page.

Who are private sessions actually for?

Private sessions help two kinds of people who look opposite but share the same problem: their thinking mind is loud and it is running the show. One is the overthinker, stuck in hesitation, second-guessing, the same worry on a loop. The other is the high performer, the founder or creative or executive who is capable and successful and still tense underneath, still braced.

Neither one needs to be in crisis. You do not need a reason that sounds dramatic. Wanting to feel steadier in your own head is reason enough. It also helps around the hinge moments: a new role, a big decision, a breakup, coming back from burnout. If you are coming at this from the performance side, the same work under a different name is private mental fitness coaching.

How is a private session different from a class?

A private session bends completely around you, while a class gives you the same practice in a room with other people. Both are real. A weekly class is honestly the best way to feel what this is before you commit, and plenty of people stay in classes for good. Private work is for when you have something specific to build and you want the whole hour pointed at it. If the $200 gives you pause, I wrote honestly about what you are actually paying for.

Can I do a private session online?

Yes, private sessions run over Zoom, and they work as well as in person with one requirement: stereo headphones or earbuds. The left-right alternation is the entire mechanism, so it has to reach each ear separately. You can test your setup here in about ten seconds. I do not have a studio of my own, so in-person sessions happen at my apartment in Los Angeles.

Does it really use the same thing as EMDR?

It uses bilateral stimulation, the same mechanism EMDR is built on, pointed forward instead of back. Francine Shapiro noticed in 1987 that alternating left-right attention calms the nervous system and makes the brain more receptive. EMDR uses that state to process hard memories. Envision uses it to build, so nothing here asks you to relive anything. It is not therapy and does not diagnose or treat. If you want the honest version of what the research does and does not say, it is at Where This Comes From.

Common questions

How much is a private Envision Yoga session? $200 for 60 minutes, with packages available if you want to work consistently. You can start with a weekly class first if you would rather feel it before booking one-on-one.

Where do private sessions happen in Los Angeles? In person at my apartment in LA, or over Zoom if you have stereo headphones. I do not have my own studio. Details are on the private sessions page.

Is this therapy? No. It shares a mechanism with EMDR but it is mental fitness, not treatment. It does not diagnose or treat anything, and it never asks you to relive the past. If you are in real distress, a licensed therapist is the right call.

Do I need to be flexible or good at yoga? No. The yoga is gentle and the point is your mind, not the poses. People of every level do this.
